The Agony of Restless Nights

Restlessness can possess you like a vice during the night. Every murmuration becomes amplified, every shadow takes on a threatening form. You toss and turn, your concerns multiplying, desperate for some elusive comfort. Sleep, once a gentle refuge, has become a distant memory. The hours crawl by, each one an eternity of torment.

We must face/confront/stand against the emptiness/void/terror, and discover/remember/unearth the resilient/unyielding spirit that lies within/deep inside/at our core.

An Heavy Blanket of Insomnia
